RECRUITING: Right now we are recruiting all levels of players. However, as the guild grows, we will begin to put limits on the minimum level required to join the guild. This will not affect any current members. The purpose of this is to ensure that eventually we will have less of a spread of player levels and we will, over time, be closer and closer to the same high level. This will enable the guild to have more dungeon runs together as well as participate in end-game content together when the time comes.

Our goal is to get the membership up to around 100 active members. In my experience, if we go too big, the guild gets unfamiliar and you lose the sense of community a good guild should have. Please help with recruiting. Our members are our best source for new quality guild members.

ALTS: Many of our guild members may have one or more alts (alternate characters) they enjoy playing. I also suspect that with the release of Cataclysm, many of you will want to start an alt Worgen (Alliance side) or Troll (Horde side) alt. All Worgen alts will be welcome to join the guild if you wish. I only ask that we limit ourselves to one alt to the guild (a total of two toons total) per member. The reasoning for this is to give guild members and guild leadership a more acurate idea of exactly how many individual players are in the guild. It also prevents confusion overe who is who, and whose alt belongs to who. If you already have two toons in the guild and want to bring a Worgen into the guild, you will need to remove one of your toons from the guild. All of your alts are always welcome on any of our guild events or dungeon runs, however only two can be on the guild roster at any given time. I don't like this either as I have already had to remove two toons from my own guild, but in the end, I think it is the best way to limit the confusion and accurately govern the guild.

If you currently have an alt in the guild, please post the name of the alt in the "public note" section on the guild roster so other members will know it is you when playing your alt simply by opening the guild roster and clicking on your name.

PARTICIPATING IN DUNGEONS AND EVENTS: The in-game calendar will have all of our scheduled events and dungeon runs on it. Start times are always based on the "server time." Therefore, if you live on the east coast, you have to make the adjustment.

If you see something on the calendar that you are interested in, and you are the appropriate level to participate in that event, please sign up for it in advance. If you are not sure, please select the "tentative" tab. You can always remove your name later if you realize you are unable to attend. If you sign up for an event or dungeon run, please make every effort to attend. I do make note of those who sign up for events and do not attend which may affect a future promotion to leadership if it becomes a habit.

When creating a party for any given dungeon run, we always begin with the first five members who signed up for the event first and are logged on at the scheduled time. No-shows will be replaced by the next member on the sign-up list. The remaining will be alternates in the event that someone has to quit the group early.

If you start a dungeon run with the guild, please ensure that you have set aside enough time to finish the dungeon. Nothing is more frustrating than someone leaving the group early and the remaining members are unable to complete the dungeon because of one member's early leave.

I want all levels of players to be able to participate in dungeon runs that are level appropriate for them. I encourage all members to get with a Captain, Founding Father, or Chief to get a dungeon that interests you on calendar. We encourage you to take the lead on the event and make it YOUR event. That means making sure it gets put on calendar by a leader, and also encouraging others in guild chat to attend.

If you complete a dungeon or instance with a group consisting of ALL guild members, please send me a letter via in-game mail with the name of the dungeon completed, the date completed, and the names of the guild members who completed it. I will be sure to add it to the "Guild Achievement" page on this website.

We are looking for active players in this guild. All members who have not logged onto their toon for over one month will be removed from the guild. They can always come back to the guild should they return to the game, but we will not clog our guild rolls with players who do not play.

HIGH LEVEL PLAYERS: As we start to get several high level members in the guild, we will begin end-game content so 80s can continue having fun with the guild. With the release of Cataclysm, we will also see that our level 80s get to 85 with the guild if they so desire.

Eventually, the minimum level to join the guild will be 70+, therefore ensuring that our guild naturally becomes a raid guild where all members are exploring end-game content together. This will happen over time obviously.

GUILD RANK STRUCTURE:
CHIEF: The Guild Leader, currently Clamente (my alt is Cucamonga)

FOUNDING FATHER: This title was given the ten members who helped me create the guild. This title can never again be given to any other player other than the original ten.

CAPTAIN: This is the highest rank a non-Founding Father (FF) can obtain without taking over the guild as Chief. Captains and FFs are essentially running the guild under the Chief's general guidance. What they say is to be taken as if the Chief himself was saying it.

SERGEANT: Middle management position who is in charge of the guild when no higher ranks are logged on. They are responsible for handling disputes that may arise between members and making recommendations to leadership for promotions, or possible demotions or expulsions from the guild for inappropriate behavior. They are the eyes and ears of the guild management.

CORPORAL: Corporals will be helping with leading guild events and helping to lead dungeon runs.

SOLDIER: Your first promotion! You are now a veteran member of the guild and are expected to be friendly and helpful.

INITIATE: Think of it as a new member who is on a "probationary period" while we can assess the individual to make sure he is not a troll, ninja, or just plain old jerk.

HOW DO I PROMOTE: Promotion from initiate to Soldier will occur after being a member of the guild for two weeks. That's it! Guild leaders are keeping track of when members join and will promote to soldier when the probation period is up. If we forget, don't hesitate to remind us.

Promotion from Soldier to Corporal happens by simply being helpful, responsible, respectful, showing initiative, and just being nice.

Promotion from Corporal to Sergeant is when you have demonstrated leadership and helpfulness. This can be done by taking the initiative of getting with a guild leader and scheduling a guild event or dungeon run that you take charge of and see through to completion.

Promotion from Sergeant to Captain will only occur when you have proven yourself as a good guild leader AND there is an opening. All leadership positions are limited and can only be filled when a position becomes available. If you are interested in promoting, get with a Captain or higher so that when an opening occurs, we can evaluate your performance and consider you for the position.

LEAVING THE GUILD: I am confident that if you give this guild a few weeks of your time and effort, you will see that few guilds can compete with our structure, organization, and fun. Some may find that this guild simply isn't what they are looking for. If you decide to look elsewhere for your adventures, please take the time to send me a letter to let me know how I can improve the guild. I want all of our members to be happy with the guild and I am very open to ways that I can improve. All former guild members will always be welcome back if they find that the grass was not greener on the other side.
